Update - Microsoft continues to work on an issue affecting access to some Microsoft 365 services. Their teams are addressing the systems requiring the most immediate attention and are gradually applying fixes across additional regions while closely monitoring service recovery.
Some users may continue to experience problems accessing or using Microsoft 365 services while this work is underway.
Cause: Microsoft has identified an issue with a core authentication system used by multiple Microsoft 365 services. This may prevent users from signing in or accessing affected services.
Microsoft is continuing to investigate remaining reports and take additional steps toward full service restoration.
We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as more information becomes available.

Update - Microsoft continues to implement remediation across the remaining affected infrastructure. Service availability is improving, and Microsoft is validating that authentication, connectivity, and search functionality are returning to expected levels.
Current Impact
Microsoft 365 Copilot
Copilot prompts that require Microsoft 365 grounding, such as access to email content, may fail.
OneDrive for Business and SharePoint Online
Users may be unable to load or refresh portions of OneDrive and SharePoint, including account and storage information, search results, Favorites, Followed and Shared With Me content, recent files, lists, and news.
Some users may experience delayed or failed file opening, Office policy-label retrieval, OneDrive synchronization, mobile camera uploads, and video playback.
Users may see partial page failures, missing or stale content, repeated retries, and operation timeouts rather than a complete service outage.
Exchange Online
Users may be unable to connect to Exchange Online or may experience degraded functionality, including failures when using search. All connection methods may be affected.
Microsoft Teams
Users may experience issues with calendar functionality and search.
Presence information may be stale and may not update automatically or through manual adjustment. User location updates may also fail.
Microsoft Teams Room (MTR) devices and desktop phones may appear offline in the Teams admin center.
Microsoft continues to monitor affected services closely and reports that recovery signals are trending positively. Extended monitoring remains in place to confirm that improvements are sustained and remediation is providing broad mitigation across affected Microsoft 365 services.
We will continue to monitor the situation and provide further updates as they become available.
