Identified - Update for Comcast customers using a GSU issued device:

At this time, none of our GSU desktop support teams are able to address or resolve the inaccessbility to the gsu.edu websites/applications or VPN services.

Please review and consider the possible alternative solutions listed below:

1) Connect to a non-Comcast network
2) Disconnect mobile phone from Comcast Network
3) Consider working on-campus until Comcast resolves its DNS changes.

Once the internet service provider-Comcast- updates their DNS settings from their end, then the errors received with gsu.edu websites and VPN issue will be officially resolved.

May 24, 09:44 EDT
Monitoring - After the DNS update last night, application and system owners can confirm systems are accessible and functioning as expected using the following procedure:

While off campus and not connected to the virtual private network (VPN), visit the web application in a browser or on a device that has not been used to access the site in the previous 24 hours.

Our maintenance was completed but due to the way Comcast handles DNS some of their users may have trouble with lookups for gsu.edu. This error will happen until Comcast updates their records.

As a workaround, affected users can set their DNS server to 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8.
