TouchNet Maintenance Jul 11, 03:00-07:00 EDT
Maintenance will be done of the TouchNet system from Friday, July 11th from 3:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. TouchNet will be completely inaccessible during this time frame. This will affect uStore and uPay sites linked to Marketplace as well as ALL credit card, debit & ACH payment links whose payments go through TouchNet Payment Gateway. An example of what will be affected is the ability for students to pay tuition and fees with credit cards through an Internet interface.

Firewall Maintenance Jul 31, 23:00 - Aug 1, 03:00 EDT
IS&T will perform the replacement of firewalls within the different buildings listed below starting on Thursday-July 31st between 11:00pm until 3:00am on Friday-August 1st. The few devices protected by these firewalls will experience a momentary loss of network connectivity. Buildings affected during this time frame will be:

Library North
Library South
Courtland North
Courtland
Classroom South
Sports Arena

IS&T will be performing Microsoft Lync On-Premise testing on Friday-August 1st between 6-10pm. Users may not be able to log onto Lync during this testing period.

Resolved - After monitoring the situation for 24 hours, IS&T has confirmed that all network system performance issues related to this incident have been resolved.

Monitoring - IS&T has confirmed that sporadic Internet connectivity issues began at approximately 4:03pm this afternoon. The cause of the issues was identified as a misconfiguration by one of GSU's external Internet Service Providers (ISP). By 4:23pm, the misconfiguration was corrected by the ISP. At this time, we believe network system performance is back to normal.

We are continuing to monitor the network to confirm the issue is resolved . If you are experiencing continued Internet connectivity problems related to this issue, please contact the IS&T Help Center at 404-413-4357 or help@gsu.edu as soon as possible.

Investigating - IS&T is currently investigating reports of issues with the GSU Campus Network. Users are unable to access internet, Microsoft Outlook or Lync at this time. Additional information will be posted here when the issue is confirmed.

Resolved - Investigation determined that a recent update to the environment caused impact to network routing. Engineers reconfigured settings to alleviate impact. The Microsoft Exchange Online issue has been successfully resolved.

Investigating - Exchange Online is currently in degraded state. Users may experience problems when accessing the service running Windows embedded handheld 6.5, Windows Mobile 6.x, and some devices running Nokia Symbian. Customers are asked to connect to service via another other Exchange protocol. More information will be posted here once issue is identified.

Scheduled - WordPress Admin Maintenance is scheduled to take place at 5:30 p.m. on Friday-July 25, 2014 until 10:00 a.m. on Saturday-July 26, 2014.This maintenance is directly related to correcting administrative database errors. WordPress will need to lock out admins from performing page or site updates during this maintenance period.

Update - GSU website issues have been resolved and Wordpress is running at normal capacity, but we will continue to monitor the issue throughout the rest of the day.

Monitoring - The gsu.edu website network is currently processing and building its cache files which can cause the “Error establishing a database connection” error at times. This task has taking additional time beyond the planned overnight period. This will interrupt access to admin areas and site editing in many cases. We are actively monitoring the progress and working to expedite it. We anticipate this effecting service through close of business.
